- After the Shakaboo! days (Shakaboo! a local new metal band here in Davao City) Errol, Jonas, Koy2x & the rest of the band parted ways and pursued different roads in their music. Errol Luzada & Koy2x teamed up with ex-Shakaboo! frontman Jay Lu and and Robin from the emo-punk band AND MORExxx to form "All My Crazy Friends" who later became "Monday Mourning" which was a hardcore-emo band. After a few months of playing originals at local underground gigs the band became really idle and was not really moving along as expected. Restless but not shaken Errol & Koy joined metal-core giant "Monster Monkey" to explore new grounds and make new music. The band was fronted by ex-Opium War/Armour Piercing metal head Marco & drummer Lhem (who during that time was still playing with "Armour Piercing" & Death Metal band Al-Iblis). While playing gigs with Monster Monkey both Errol & Koy were still talking about putting up a band which really had their ideals in it. A rock band that played uncategorized rock but timeless without a doubt.
-The idea started taking shape when both of them got a talk with ex-Shakaboo! drummer Jonas Leano about putting up a band that just played real rock music period, no categories and bounderies. Now all that was left was who to get to sing. The problem was soon solved when Errol got the word that former Phil-Sci. school-mate PJ Velasco was coming back here in Davao City, and was staying for good. PJ was from Cebu City and used to play with the punk-pop trio Route 62B. He eventually liked the idea and jumped in right away, thus Go Larry Go.
-The four of them started jammin' with new school-punk revivals and other cover songs just to get settled in with the new band line-up and was doing great. And the name Go Larry Go was chosen because it really did'nt mean anything personal for none of the band memebers and it was fun. They wanted their songs to make up their band not the name, and they wanted something new but timeless at the same time. Their first gig was on Dec. 7, 2002 at Slackers Cabaguio, and up to now are still playing where-ever possible.
-Now the band is writing their own stuff and just having fun at the same time. It's really hard being a rock band and play your originals here in Davao City, but you must never give up. Especially if your doing it coz it makes you a happy, complete and better as a person. Money is important, but it should never cloak your will to dream and succeed. Go Larry, Go Davao!
